Development of a new automatic packing system
New R&D project developed by our client SAT Campos de Granada, which has assigned Geysen Robotics the design of the automation system for the packaging process of its "cherry" products.
SAT Campos de Granada is one of the most important producers and traders of southeast Spain. A company with a long history that has been adapting by force of the quality of its products and the application of innovative solutions for its processes.
An example of this is the new project that Geysen Robotics is developing for them. Recently, SAT Campos de Granada has based a large part of its growth on the marketing of different varieties of cherry products, mainly tomato.
The packaging system required for these very special varieties was until now a very manual process. But that is changing, an advanced development with the latest technology is already launching. A state-of-the-art facility, which incorporates an automatic packing system for baskets, trays and tubs, is already being implemented after months of design and experimentation.
The robotic packing machine, which will soon be operational, is a machine designed ad hoc for the exact needs of our client, using 3D CAD software and a rigorous process of computational analysis and simulation (CAE).
It has been manufactured using CNC machine tools to achieve parts of the highest precision and performance. And it has been tested in Geysen Robotics' facilities until it has achieved the optimum performance to meet the established objectives.
In the daily work of Geysen Robotics, the research and development phase is extremely important; it is in this part of the process that the solutions required by each customer are determined and adjusted. High-level engineering together with the determination to apply high doses of innovation to daily work is one of the hallmarks of the brand. And a project such as the one developed for SAT Campos de Granada is the best proof of this.
